How do I install Chrome browser extensions in SyncMo?

SyncMo supports all normal Chrome extensions, however we do not support the Chrome Web Store directly, as we did not want such tight integration into Google’s system (in fact all such integration do not exist in SyncMo for your privacy).

If you wish to install a Chrome extension into SyncMo, we would advise you to follow these instructions below.

Installation Steps

1. Install the Get CRX extension
2. Find the extension you are interested in installing within the Chrome Web Store
3. On your chosen extension’s Web Store page, right click and choose “Get CRX of this extension”. Save the CRX file somewhere on your computer.
4. Now with SyncMo open, drag the CRX file onto the SyncMo browser window.
5. The extension should now be installed

I am viewing this page from a different browser

1. First download the Get CRX extension, available here.
2. Next extract the CRX file from the zip file.
3. With SyncMo open, drag the CRX file onto the SyncMo browser window.
4. Find the extension you are interested in installing within the Chrome Web Store
5. On your chosen extension’s Web Store page, right click and choose “Get CRX of this extension”. Save the CRX file somewhere on your computer.
6. Now with SyncMo open again, drag the CRX file onto the SyncMo browser window.
7. The extension should now be installed
